  39. using or installing The Locator.   If  you do not agree with them, you
  40. may return the software to the place of purchase for a full
  41. refund. The customer agrees that this program is being used on the
  42. condition that Customer agrees to this license.

  44. SitBack Technologies, Inc.  agrees to grant, and the Customer
  45. agrees to accept, a non-exclusive, nontransferable license to use
  46. the program delivered with this agreement under the terms and
  47. conditions set forth below.  SitBack Technologies, Inc. reserves
  48. the right to make changes or improvements to the The Locator computer
  49. program and any accompanying documentation at any time and without
  50. notice.

  79. The Locator is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge
  80. to the user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your
  81. friends, but please do not give it away altered or as part of
  82. another system.  The essence of "user-supported" software is to
  83. provide personal computer users with quality software without
  84. high prices, and yet to provide incentive for programmers to
  85. continue to develop new products.  If you find this program
  86. useful and find that you are using The Locator and continue to
  87. use The Locator after a reasonable trial period, you must make
  88. a registration payment of $19.95 to SitBack Technologies, Inc.

  90. The $19.95 registration fee will license one copy for use on
  91. any one computer at any one time.  You must treat this software
  92. just like a book.  An example is that this software may be used
  93. by any number of people and may be freely moved from one computer
  94. location to another, so long as there is no possibility of it
  95. being used at one location while it's being used at another.
  96. Just as a book cannot be read by two different persons at the
  97. same time.

  99. Commercial users of The Locator must register and pay for their
  100. copies of The Locator within 30 days of first use or their
  101. license is withdrawn.  Site-License arrangements may be made by
  102. contacting SitBack Technologies, Inc..

  104. Anyone distributing The Locator for any kind of remuneration must
  105. first contact SitBack Technologies, Inc. for authorization.
  106. This authorization will be automatically granted to distributors
  107. recognized by the (ASP) as adhering to its guidelines for
  108. shareware distributors, and such distributors may begin offering 
  109. The Locator immediately (However SitBack Technologies, Inc. must
  110. still be advised so that the distributor can be kept up-to-date
  111. with the latest version of *PROGRAM*.).

  113. You are encouraged to pass a copy of The Locator along to your
  114. friends for evaluation.  Please encourage them to register their
  115. copy if they find that they can use it.  All registered users
  116. will receive a copy of the latest version of the The Locator
  117. program.

  120. machine: b) copy the program into any machine readable or
  121. printed form for backup or purposes in support of your use of
  122. the program on the single machine. Additional license agreements
  123. and payments are required if the software is used on more than

  129. THE LOCATOR
  130.  
  131. The Locator is the ideal companion and utility for any PC user who
  132. uses removable storage as an integral part of their computing.
  133. The use of removable media such as SyQuest drives, Bernoulli Boxes,
  134. flopticals, opticals, floppies and the emerging PCMCIA cards is
  135. growing.  
  136.  
  137. Software programs used today occupy a massive amount of hard disk
  138. space. And data files are becoming larger and larger. 
  139.  
  140. Removable media use is growing as a result of the need for more and
  141. more disk space for applications such as backup, archival, secondary
  142. storage, additional primary storage and security.  Keeping these
  143. disks organized, locating files and determining which disk a file is
  144. on is time consuming, difficult and cumbersome.

  146. The Locator is very different from other File Finder utilities which
  147. only allow you to search an "on-line" disk to locate files.  With
  148. The Locator the disk doesn't even have to be inserted.

  150. The Locator allows you to catalog files on your removable disks
  151. into a database and using the file finder, quickly and easily locate
  152. and determine which disk a file is on.  You no longer have to
  153. tediously insert each disk and repeatedly change and display
  154. directories.  Now the location of these files is at your fingertips
  155. and instantly accessible.

  157. Catalog Utility 
  158.  
  159. The Catalog Utility creates a database on your hard disk containing
  160. information about each of the files which are cataloged.  You can
  161. be as selective as you want in determining which drives, files or
  162. directories you want to catalog.  You can catalog multiple drives
  163. at once or multiple disks from the same drive. Each file recorded to
  164. the database contains the following information.

  169.     4.  File name extension
